I’m not feeling it. Reminds me of this:

Maybe the car will finally be able to “soar” with the 2.5l turbo out of the CX-9. The old engine options left A LOT to be desired.

It wasn’t too bad, except that one shot that I couldn’t stand.
I hate this composition, it’s designed to make me feel tense and uptight and it did but I don’t know why they would want me to feel that here.

I love how they made a 60 second commercial, with their actual vehicles only occupying about 12 seconds of time.

They say good marketing should be able to stand on its own if you strip away all text and VO. I guess we know what to call this then.

But..but.. Zoom Zoom? Driving Matters?
I mean the 2.5T is an awesome engine and I am looking forward to it in the 6 which is a very good car but the performance aspect of Mazda outside the Miata is pretty much overrated IMO.

I kinda liked it. If only for the music.

It’s not just overrated, it’s essentially gone.
Back in 2007 you could buy an AWD 270 hp sedan or a 260 hp hot hatch at least - and that wasn’t bad for 2007.

Yeah I get emails from Mazda and watched this a few days ago. I think I would have liked it better with a different narrator/narrative. Visually I remember liking some of it.

There are a million ads that look exactly like this for other products like say. Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Banking for the 1%, Perfumes, Actual high-end Luxury clothing and lifestyle brands etc. But that fact that it comes from a mainstream car company acting pretentious like they’re Bugatti or something with 5 seconds of actual car shots is what irks me.

I mean that’s a fair point but I’m just glad it’s not a real people ad or whatever garbage Alfa did with the Stelvio.

Sad thing is “Driving Matters” to only a smart part of the population. But everyone feels?
I’d take back Zoom Zoom.

yeah.. it’s a little to cerebral for me. But so were the Toyota Olympic ones, and it’s still prettier to look at than those goofball Chevrolet ads... But if it sells cars, more power to them...
